The Power of A Good Decision
Every day, in every life, at every moment — we are making decisions.
Some are simple:
- Should I wear the red scarf or the blue one?
- Should I go with them or stay home?
Others feel heavier:
- Is this the right moment?
- Can we really move in together?
- Should I keep the house… or sell it?
- Is this the right moment?
- Can we really move in together?
- Should I keep the house… or sell it?
And yet, whether the decision is small or big, the inner process often looks the same.
Some decisions take seconds.
Others keep us up at night.
But one thing is always true:
But one thing is always true:
The power of a good decision lies not in being perfect — but in being honest with ourselves.
The Process Behind Any Good Decision
You don’t have to be a psychologist or a strategist to make sound choices.
You just need to slow down and tune into a few essential parts of yourself:
Analysis
Take out a piece of paper. Yes, paper — not your phone.
A great coach once taught me that the brain processes ideas better when we see them and write them down.
Use two columns:
On the left, Pros
On the right, Cons
Just this act — writing it all out — brings clarity.
It quiets the noise.
Balance
Look at both sides, not with panic, but with curiosity.
Which list feels heavier?
Which one aligns better with your long-term peace?
Your Own Feelings
Logic is essential, but don’t ignore your emotions.
Every decision involves:
- Past experiences
- Fears
- Hopes
- Personal goals
So don’t try to be “cold” about it. Let your feelings inform your decision — just don’t let them control it.
Peace of Mind
Here’s a rule I’ve learned the hard way:
If you feel calm after making the decision — even if it’s difficult — that’s a sign you’re on the right path.
Good decisions aren’t always easy.
But they feel right in your gut.
And that peace? It’s priceless.
Lessons From My Own Life
I’ve made many decisions in my life — some that helped me grow, others that left me with regrets.
Some I made with confidence. Others I made thinking they were right… only to find out later, they weren’t.
And here’s the truth:
I’ve made bad decisions — several of them.
I’ve faced the consequences — sometimes painfully.
But I’ve learned to own my choices, adjust course, and move forward stronger.
That’s what I want for you, too.
When the Decision Involves a Property...
If you’re in the middle of a tough choice about a home — whether to keep it, rent it, sell it, or pass it on — the emotional weight is heavier than most people understand.
You're not just thinking about:
Money
Paperwork
Repairs
You're carrying memories, fears, and maybe even pressure from family.
So here’s my advice:
